Thailand is the leading exporter of CBU cars to Vietnam
According to statistics released by General Department Vietnam Customs, in July 2017, the country imported 6.94 thousand CBU cars of all types with a value of US$ 167 million, down 11.2% in volume and 2.6% in value compared to the previous month.
Therefore, the volume of CBU cars which were imported in the first 7 months of 2017 reached 57.8 thousand units worth nearly US$ 1.21 billion, down 4.1% in volume and 16% in value compared to the same period in last year, of which, the volume of cars of 9 seats or less was 29.1 thousand units worth US$ 499 million, up 13.9% in volume and 10.7% in value.
In the first 7 months of 2017, CBU cars of all types were mainly imported from Thailand with nearly 21.9 thousand units, an increase of 16.1%, Indonesia with 12.6 thousand units, more than 9 times, South Korea with 5.4 thousand units, a decrease of 52.6%. India with 5.2 thousand units, a decrease of 34%, China with 4.1 thousand units, a decrease of 46.9% compared to the same period in 2016.
